No matter how deep you are into a fitness journey, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been at it for years, chances are you’ll lose your fitness mojo at least once. There can be a number of reasons for this. You may have been hitting it too hard, doing things at an unsustainable level so now you’ve burned out. You may have been doing the same workouts over and over again, so now you’re bored. Here are a few ways you can get your fitness mojo back:
Watch YouTube Fitness Vlogs
There are a ton of YouTubers who create vlogs around their fitness routines and tips. By finding a few you like and watching them, you should feel motivated to get back on track. Some people like to watch these vlogs while doing cardio, as it helps get them through longer sessions and they learn a lot while doing so!
Reassess Your Goals
Maybe it’s actually your goals that you need to reassess. If you’ve never had real goals, it’s no wonder you gave up. Some people like to set the goal to lose fat, while others want to put on muscle. Some want to improve in a certain exercise. There are numerous goals you can set for yourself, both big and small. Remember, it’s better to break your goals down into smaller steps to make them more achievable. For example, lose 1 pound of fat per week is much better than saying ‘lose 4 pounds a month’. Although the end result is the same, the first one will make it seem easier and more sustainable. You should also find it easier to remain focused too! Remember, setting sustainable goals is important. Losing 5 pounds per week or more is not a sustainable goal, unless you are very overweight and have the OK from your doctor.
Find People To Look Up To
Finding fitness influencers and even sports athletes to look up to should help you to get your fitness mojo back. Read up on interesting news and interviews that could give you some valuable tips.
Find The Right Fitness Plan For You
Finding the right fitness plan for you is so important. Your plan should suit both your goals and your lifestyle. Plus, you should really enjoy it! A mix of different exercise styles is great. Doing too much of one thing, especially cardio, won’t get you anywhere. You don’t want to get bored, as this is a quick way to lose your mojo. Make sure you find your plan interesting and enjoyable. Track your progress to make it even better!
Have A Week Off
Maybe you’ve been training so long that you actually need a week off. This doesn’t mean you should eat fast food every day and sit around watching TV. However, taking a week’s break from the gym can actually give your body a needed rest and make you more determined to smash your goals when you get back in there!
Take these steps to get your fitness mojo back today and you won’t regret it. Remember, nobody ever regretted a work out!
