Bacon is all the hype these days, and I am happy to be apart of the fad. I recently made these Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts, and fell in love with them. I used my family as taste testers while attending gatherings, and they passed with flying colors! My Mom used to make a similar recipe years ago, so when I made a version of my own, she was blown away. The process is simple, involving the bacon being wrapped around the water chestnuts with toothpicks. Then in a saucepan, the brown sugar, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce is heated and poured over the wrapped bacon. They are baked in the oven, for about 40-50 minutes, and then is done!
A great feature for this recipe, is that if there are any leftovers, they can be stored in an air-tight container. I doubt there will be many left once you taste these flavorful, and addicting Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts!
