Best Campground Canton Ohio

Want the Best Campground Canton Ohio Has to Offer? There’s a reason why Canton in Ohio is extremely popular with tourists across the US and that’s because it offers lots of attractions, as well as some stunning outdoor spaces. Camping is particularly popular in the area, as it offers a cost-effective way to enjoy the locality, but it relies on you knowing where to find campsites that are worth visiting. In this blog we look at just a few in our search for the best campground Canton Ohio has to offer of this type.

Understanding where the best free sites are can save you a fortune in one of the most picturesque areas of the world. So, let’s not delay and get started in analysing the camping grounds that offer the best way to live when you’re in Canton.

Thornhill Bluff

Just a stone’s throw from Cuyahoga Valley National Park is Thornhill Bluff – one of the contenders for the title of the best campground Canton Ohio has. At $40 per night, there’s enough room for 12 guests to pitch their tents. Surrounded by ravines and mature hardwood trees, there’s an indoor bathroom on offer close by, as well as water and electric. From there, you can access the many Sandrun trails.

Campfires are permitted and there’s WiFi available for those who need it. With a good tent, there’s no reason why you can’t be as comfortable as would be in a hotel here.

Spring Valley Farm

The next site vying for the honour of being named the finest campground Canton Ohio can offer is Spring Valley Farm which has a total of 12 spots to choose from. Located out in the country, down a long gravel road, visitors to this campsite are only 15 minutes away from Atwood Lake where you can fish, go boating and hike to your heart’s content.

There’s no toilet facilities or ADA access here, however pets are allowed, as too are campfires. It’s a site that offers a decent experience, but it is on the basic side.

The Heritage Farms Garden Apartment

Making perhaps the best case for 1st place is the Heritage Farms Garden apartment. It’s a little on the pricey side at $150 per night, but then you do get a cabin that sleeps 4 people. Sure, it’s not technically a campsite per se, but it’s right in the middle of the country and gives you access to all the same amenities.

With full ADA access, toilets, showers, picnic table, bins and kitchen available, it pretty much offers everything – including WiFi. It’s hard to see past this one, so long as you don’t mind paying the kind of premium that you’d expect to pay at the best campground Canton Ohio can provide.

The Results Are In & We Have a Winner!

So, which of our campsites gets the title of the best campground Canton Ohio can offer? Well, it’s not hard to see that Heritage Farms offers the best and most comfortable experience, but then again, not everyone goes camping to get the same amenities they do at home – some people prefer to ‘rough it’ for the full outdoor experience.

Those of you out there that like their holidays on the thrifty side will likely prefer one of the first two options that come in at less than $40 per night. That said, don’t expect too many creature comforts to keep you going between hikes and other activities.

All that said, we have to pick one and for sheer opulence and comfort, it won’t surprise to learn that we’ve chosen Heritage Farms. It’s got everything and while it costs more than the other two combined, you’re going to get everything you need to live comfortably and feel refreshed at the beginning of each day.

There are, of course, many others in the area to choose from, so you might not agree with our decision, but you will at least know what to expect. That’s it from us, we hope you found our blog useful.
