Events Taking Place in January and February 2020

Some of the most exciting choices for January include “Secret Gardens” by Sheila Elias. Available to view from Wednesday, December 18, 2019, to Sunday, January 26, 2020, the exhibit can be seen Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The collection of artwork features collaged elements taken from Japanese papers and fabrics that were photocopied by the artist. The floral motifs differ in size and color to evoke emotion in the people viewing them.

“A Beautiful Chaos” by Charles Ellis starts on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, and ends Sunday, March 8, 2020. The artwork can be viewed by Miami Beach Botanical Garden visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. As an abstract artist, Ellis finds that painting with oil paints on French cotton paper with torn edges is more freeing than creating artwork on canvases. His art features a brilliant array of colors and textures.

Hours of Operation

The garden closes on Mondays. Its hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. It’s closed on certain holidays such as New Year’s Day. If you’re unsure of when certain parts of the garden are open, it’s best to contact an employee for more information.
