Factors Affecting Fitted Kitchen Prices

Fitted Kitchen prices

Fitted kitchens are the rage these days. All the modern houses are equipped with fitted cabinets, counters, and appliances in them. However, as compared to normal unfitted kitchens, fitted ones are a little expensive. Here are a few factors that can affect your fitted kitchen prices.

Type of Kitchen Design

The kitchen design you want affects the price you have to pay for it. Fitted kitchens can be built as an economy kitchen or even as a high-end luxury kitchen. If you want all the branded appliances in your kitchen, along with top of the line fixtures and furniture, you will end up paying a high price.

If you are not so fond of cooking and only cook occasionally, you may do away with a small kitchen. But if you want to mingle and entertain people in the kitchen, you require a larger space, for which you have to pay higher prices.

Size and Level of Configuration

If you are not going to change your kitchen’s size and placement of your cabinets and appliances, then only some minor work would be needed in your kitchen, and you may not need to pay a hefty amount. On the other hand, if you want to change everything from size, location, electrical systems, doors, windows, plumbing, gas pipeline, flooring, tiles, etc., such a huge configuration will add more cost.

The cabinets you choose for your fitted kitchen, quantity, size, and material also greatly impact your fitted kitchen prices. There are different grades and types of kitchen cabinets. They can be stock, custom, or semi-custom. Cheaper options include fibreboard, laminates, unfinished surfaces, particleboard, and others. Expensive ones include those made of thick wood veneers, furniture grade plywood, and quality wood. Features like soft close drawers, adjustable hinges, special storage options, high-end joinery, etc. can also increase the price you have to pay.

The size of the countertop area and its material also impacts your cost to pay. Natural stones like marble and granite in varying thicknesses and grades are quite popular these days, and their cost may vary according to the one you choose. The grain, area, thickness, colour, place of origin, and size of the stone affect the cost. Other than natural stone, kitchen countertops can also be made of quartz, imported natural stone, or a low-end stone that may be less expensive than others.

Like cabinets and countertops, kitchen appliances that you choose also play a great role in determining your kitchen installation cost, most fitted kitchens are equipped with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, grill top, top, hood fan, trash compactor, winner cooler, ice maker, coffee maker, etc. The more appliances you opt for, the more you will have to pay. The lighting, fixtures, faucets, and other elements also impact your price to pay.

So, here are a few things that can impact your fitted kitchen prices to a great extent. If you’re concerned about your budget, know what you want before starting the project and choose your components accordingly.
