  1. Say goodbye to sink odors.

Your sink and drain will eventually smell bad. The food excess, oil, grease, and other stuff that accumulate down the drain will naturally cause odor.

To de-clog the drain and get rid of the sink odors, follow this method. First, pour some hot water on the drain to remove the gunk and grease.  Then pour about a cup of baking soda, followed by a cup of lemon juice. Let it sink there for a few minutes before washing it off.

Put the lemon halves inside the bowl with water and lemon juice. Then place the bowl inside the microwave. Turn on the microwave and boil the solution for about three minutes.

  1. Clean the cabinet tops with a wax paper.

One of the hardest to clean is the space between the ceiling and the upper cabinets. Dust and grim can easily collect there when not cleaned regularly. The trick is to place some sheets of wax paper on top of the cabinets. The wax will gradually collect the dust and grime. This way, you won’t have to wipe or dust the cabinet tops. All you need is just to replace the wax paper maybe twice a year.

  1. Buff scratched dishes.

To make your scratched dishes look like new, you can buff them using a fair amount of cream of tartar. Add few drops of water, and then gently rub the dishes using a damp dishcloth. Scrub the dishes after letting them sit for a couple of minutes. Finish off with a wash and rinse.
