This season’s fashion shows have really surprised us with so many adorable style ideas we already love! We noticed that the most interesting and in the same time simplest effect can be achieved by wearing garments with some bold prints and patterns. The best ways to make it work is to wear one piece with a noticeable print and the rest of the outfit to be monochromatic.
If you need some inspiration to improve your fashion style, here’re a few examples that can’t pass unnoticed for sure.
Whether it’s about horizontal or vertical, or narrow or wide stripes, they’ll always be the classic you can’t go wrong with. The only tricky part is to wear the ones that will compliment your figure perfectly. For example, the usual belief that plus-sized people should wear vertical stripes in order to look thinner is actually wrong – with these you can look not just taller, but also wider and bigger, so you should wear horizontal stripes at the body parts you want to be concealed.
Blossom style
Get into touch with nature through floral motifs. Luckily, this is one of the hottest trends for this season and you could easily keep up with it – just look at your wardrobe and you’ll surely find something that can answer the quest. You can play with various colours and styles, depending on the occasion. For example, a floral printed skirt can be a good choice for a casual walk during the day, while some other variations of the motif can be appropriate for an amazing swimwear piece.
Polka-dots style
Since this ‘50s trend came back a couple years ago, it settled in every part of fashion and it seems that it doesn’t have intention to leave us soon. And why would it? This quite simple, but timeless print will make any outfit more vivid, whether you wear it on a blouse, skirt or dress. Depending on a colour combination and the size of dots, it can be appropriate for casual and more formal events. This pattern is also associated with fabulous pin-up style.
Animal touch
Animal prints are probably the most controversial fashion trend of all time. At the same time, they can be feminine and elegant, chic and avant-garde, and vulgar and tacky. Most of women went through this “animal” phase during their life, but since you’re a mother now, you should reduce experimenting with this kind of patterns and keep them on the low. The best way to achieve that is to wear one printed garment combined with simple and monochromatic clothes or to spice a regular look with animal printed accessories.
Colour it up!
A bold look doesn’t only include prints, but also some bold and vivid colour combinations. Among other hype colours for this season, bright shades of purple and yellow found their place on a fashion scene in addition to an unusual, gold-metallic colour combination, which also ruled the runways, so we recommend it for the most extravagant girls. Those who’re not ready to go this far, a softer combination of dusty pink and yellow can bring refreshment into their look.
Although many people find it difficult to style prints, it’s much easier than you think. Just find one that will express your personality the best and feel free to play with it a little bit.
