I just realized my theme for this past Christmas was peppermints! I made a peppermint wreath, peppermint bark, decorated the house with red garland and made a peppermint serving tray. I had a stash of leftover starlight peppermint candies and knew I could not eat them all. I had just enough to try out a new project. On REfreshREstyle, I found a “recipe” that blew my mind away. Baking peppermint candies! I would never have guessed that would be possible to make. Of course I had to try it out right away. So I unwrapped my candies and lined up a cookie sheet with foil. I placed the candies in the oven for five minutes and they melted. I could not believe it. I for sure thought they would burn or bubble up. Definitely keep an eye on the oven and do not leave it unattended, because the candies melt so quick. I then let the baking sheet cool completely and peeled the peppermint off the foil. It is easily breakable, so do not drop it! I then snapped off some of the edges because I wanted mine a smaller shape. It turned out cute and I can display my Holiday treats on the tray. I hope to experiment more next year with different shapes and perfecting the circle! In the meantime, it makes a cute serving tray which matches my peppermint theme flawlessly.
Unwrap your starlight mints
Arrange in a circle (or any shape you choose) on the aluminum foil or parchment paper
Bake at 350 for 3-8 minutes (varies depending on oven)
Remove and let cool. Do not touch, it will be very hot
Once cooled, remove from foil and use for display. Be careful, it is fragile. You can always eat it too!

- 1 bag or however many starlight peppermints you want to use
- Aluminum foil or parchment paper
How To Make:
- Heat Oven to 350°
- Unwrap Starlight Mints
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil
- Form a circle (any shape) with your mints
- Heat in oven until they melt together (varies depending on oven)
- 5 minutes for min (Usually bakes for no more than 8 minutes)
