Napoli: city rich in history
Naples holds a European record: it is the city with the largest historic center on the continent. For this you can find many monuments and many churches to visit.
But Naples is also known for its cuisine: pizza, mozzarella and babà. Without forgetting the vegetables that, kissed by the sun, grow more vigorous and tasty.
A tour in Naples could be structured as follows: starting with the historic center and then visiting the Duomo. Then you can go to Piazza del Plebiscito, a large square surrounded by monuments.
You can then visit the archaeological museum that collects objects from the Pompeian area. The visit to the museum will give rise to a great curiosity about the city of Pompeii. So why not take advantage of it and go there? Maybe, with the occasion you can make a visit also to Ercolano and to Oplontis.
Capri: the island that remains in the heart
From Naples you can take a ferry and get to the island of Capri to take a day trip. From the Port of Marina Grande you can take the funicular leading to the Piazzetta in the center of the island. From there you can enjoy a view of the bay while sipping a delicious coffee.
Not to be missed in Capri is the Natural Arch, a 20 meter rock arch and the Tragara Belvedere from which you can admire two huge rocks in the sea.
To conclude the visit of the island you can go to the Blue Grotto. The cave owes its name to the color of the water that you can find inside it.
From Naples you can continue south and visit one of the most beautiful places in Italy: the Amalfi Coast.
It is one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy thanks to its uncontaminated nature and the small agglomerations of houses that rise on the cliffs.
They are part of the Amalfi Coast:
- Sorrento, which is born on a cliff that shows the bay and the island of Capri.
- Nocelle, where you can take a walk along the Path of the Gods.
- Positano, is a characteristic village that rises on the cliff. The city is famous for its fashion boutiques, luxury cafes and jet-sets.
- Amalfi, from here the best lemons ever arrive. To visit its magnificent Duomo.
- Ravello, where Villa Cimbrone is located with 6 hectares of garden overlooking the sea.
