The first instinct of a lot of people when they’re dealing with any kind of crisis or emergency situation is to completely panic. You need to make sure that this doesn’t happen to you. The key to avoiding this is to recognize the signs of panic as they happen. If you start to feel dizzy or short of breath then you need to take a moment to slow your breathing. This might seem like a simple thing but it really is one of the most important things you can do. After all, you’re not going to be any good to anyone if you’re a hyperventilating mess.
