  1.  Have a Balanced Diet

Eating a good and balanced diet is important not just for the body but for the hair as well. Hair is mostly made up of protein so it’s advisable to have at least 45g of protein every day to maintain its strength and shine. 

Here are some great sources of protein for your hair:

  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Lean meat
  • Chicken breast
  • Beans

Lack of protein could result in hair loss, weak hair, and loss of hair color as well. Other nutrients that the hair needs are zinc and omega-3 fatty acids which can be found in vegetables, fruits, seeds, and cheese.

  1. Use a Strengthening Shampoo

Shampooing sometimes strips our hair off its natural oils. These oils are needed to help keep it healthy and strong. Using the wrong kind of shampoo will dry out our hair and do more harm than good.
