In Las Vegas, the majority of casinos also operate as hotels or resorts, making it one of the most popular holiday destinations. The iconic Vegas strip has continued to evolve over the years, maintaining its impressive casino reputation and paving the way for the future of gaming.

But as the long list of exciting casino locations continues to grow, it can make it even harder to decide where to go. Whether you’re a Las Vegas regular, or a newbie to the scene, a little bit of guidance can point you in the right direction.

Read on as we talk you through some of our top recommendations.

Best for… the history

  • Golden Gate – opened 1906

This classic location originally opened under the name of Hotel Nevada before changing to Golden Gate in 1955. This historical landmark is known as the first ever Las Vegas hotel and is still in operation today. Located in downtown Las Vegas, the Golden Gate holds onto its vintage character and architectural design.

  • Flamingo – opened 1946

Perhaps one of the most iconic casinos from the early days of the Las Vegas strip, the Flamingo opened its doors in 1946 and was the first to adopt a more “modern” architecture than the majority of other casinos at the time, who went for more of an Old West saloon theme. Modernising the look of the casino went on to provide a more luxurious experience, along with the regular entertainment that was showcased throughout the ‘40s and ‘50s.

Best for… gaming tables

Depending on what kind of gambling you’re looking to do, th variety of table games on offer may influence where you choose to play on the Las Vegas strip. Here are our recommendations:

  • Sports: Caesars Palace
  • Slots: Aria
  • Poker: Bellagio
  • Blackjack: Bellagio or Treasure Island
  • Roulette: Bellagio or MGM Grand

Best for… entertainment

If you’re not a massive gambler, or you’re looking for some extra entertainment to enjoy alongside your gameplay, then the MGM Grand is the perfect Las Vegas casino for you.

This casino features a wide range of Online Cricket Betting ID and slot machines, but that’s not where their facilities end. One of the most sought-after activities within this iconic location is “LEVEL UP” which is essentially an arcade designed for adults. Expect to find a supersized game of Pac-Man, beer pong, Pop-A-Shot, billiards and an original Sigma Derby. You’ll also find themed slot machines, with the most popular being a horse race inspired game which allows you to place your bets on individual horses across the reels.

Best for… beginners

If you’re looking for a good place to start out your Las Vegas trip as a beginner, you’ll want to opt for somewhere that’s not only iconic, but also offers gaming tables with lower-stake options as well as clear rules and regulations. The most important thing about playing at any Las Vegas casino is to have fun, and stay within in your budget. We recommend checking out the following long-standing casinos:

  • $5 minimum bet for Roulette and Blackjack: Excalibur
  • $3 minimum bet for Blackjack: Flamingo
  • For the luxury & sights: Bellagio

Best service & cheap drinks: Cosmopolitan
