Getting friends round to enjoy food, drinks and great conversation is always going to be a good night. But if you want to go all out- whether it’s for a special occasion or ‘just because’ why not throw an epic party that your guests will never forget? Here are a few of the ways you can go about it.

Hire Some Inflatables

Most definitely not just for kids, adults too will have an incredible time messing around on inflatables. You could go with an adult sized bouncy castle or slide, an inflatable Gladiator arena or even giant blow up sumo suits! Everyone can release their inner child and have loads of fun, it’s not something you’re likely to see at your average get together! Companies like Monsterball Amusements & Hire will have a range of different pieces of equipment you could consider hiring.

Play Some Giant Lawn Games

Now spring is here in Australia and summer is right around the corner, it’s time to get outside more! And what better way than with giant lawn games. Connect Four, Jenga, Snakes and Ladders and tons of others can all be bought in large sizes to be played outside. You could even spice them up and turn them into a drinking game where the loser has to do a shot!

Base It On a Theme

Set a theme for your party and ask everyone to come dressed up as something related to it. This also gives you ideas for decor too. If you’re stuck for ideas, think about your favorite TV show or movie and base the theme on this. Alternatively, you could go with a classic- underwater theme, Masquerade or old Hollywood glamor. It makes everything even more interesting and is fun seeing how your guests turn up. Don’t forget to purchase a silly ‘forfeit’ costume for anyone that shows up without fancy dress!

Set Up a Photo Booth

You could hire out a professional company for this, who will set up and take cool professional pictures of people in the booth with all kinds of funny accessories. If your budget is smaller, you could always DIY it instead. Use a plain wall or a white sheet as a backdrop. You can purchase some novelty accessories like wigs, giant sunglasses and chalkboard speech bubbles for your guests to mess around with. You could take pictures of each other using a digital camera, or even your phone.

Play Amazing Music

You could set up a playlist in advance to make sure the music is incredible all night- ask guests for recommendations too. That way it’s something everyone will enjoy. Alternatively, you could hire a DJ or even a performer to play for a while. Even if your party is just at home, you could set up an area outside in the garden, or make space inside and make an event of it with some DPL Lights!

Do you have any parties coming up that you’re going to host? Will you be using any of these ideas?
