A Couple of Notes About CBD Oil Recipes

We aren’t including dosages in the recipes because the correct dose varies from person to person. Many sources say you should start with a low dose and work your way up to your sweet spot.
You also need to find high-quality CBD. You can read reviews online to find the best CBD products and conduct research before buying anything.
To stress the point: do your research before trying it out for yourself.
On the note of trying it out for yourself, these recipes are straightforward to follow but may have some variation due to the fact that each batch of CBD may taste slightly different.
For instance, some CBD is decarboxylated and filtered, which may have a more mild taste. However, many claim that unfiltered CBD contains more healthy compounds.
So, it will take a little bit of experimentation for you to find the right flavors and dosages for your own preferences, no matter what recipe you use.
Many recipes online stick with meals with strong flavors if they’re using heat. Common examples are pesto and herb-filled salad dressing.
We’re going to stay away from recipes like these as they’re already prevalent online. Plus, stove-top heat can create a stronger hemp flavor, as well as stink up your house.
1. CBD-Infused Honey

Combining the potential health benefits of CBD with the health benefits of honey creates a win-win situation.
Local, organic honey is more healthy than refined sugar, it’s full of antioxidants, and helps with seasonal allergies.
To make CBD-infused honey, follow these instructions:
- Get honey that’s in a sealable glass jar
- Boil enough water in a pot to reach the level of honey in the jar
- Once boiling, remove the pot from the stove
- Once it stops boiling, put the glass jar of honey in the middle of the pan
- Place the lid loosely on top to allow for the transfer of air
- 3-5 minutes later, as the honey begins to thin, stir in the CBD oil
- Let stand for 20 minutes so the CBD can infuse.
- Remove, seal, enjoy!
To determine the amount of CBD, figure out how much honey you use at one time. A typical serving is a tablespoon. Determine how much CBD you want per serving.
Then, find how many tablespoons (or servings) are in your container of honey by using a conversion tool. Multiply this number by the number of CBD per serving to determine the total amount of CBD to use in the recipe.
2. CBD Bulletproof Coffee

To make one cup of coffee (8-12 ounces), you’ll need:
- 2.5 tablespoons of fresh ground coffee beans
- 1 teaspoon – 2 tablespoons of MCT oil (the website explains the variation)
- 1-2 tablespoons of grass-fed, unsalted butter OR 1-2 teaspoons of grass-fed ghee
- CBD oil
Brew the coffee with unfiltered water in a french press. When ready, mix ingredients together in a blender for 20-30 seconds.

3. CBD Cacao Energy Bites
This recipe calls for cacao (not to be confused with cocoa).
Theobroma cacao is the tree that delicious, pure chocolate comes from. When kept as organic and unprocessed as possible, cacao has 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries, lots of iron, magnesium, and calcium, and is a mood elevator and anti-depressant.
We thought to combine CBD and cacao would be the perfect snack to provide joy and stress relief. Here’s how to make 12 cacao energy bites.
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup raw walnuts
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 chopped dates
- 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of water
- CBD oil
Pulse the almonds, walnuts, oats, cacao, and salt in a food processor. You want to make a fine meal while keeping some texture.
Then, add the dates, 1/2 tablespoon water, and CBD oil and use the food processor again. You want it to become thick and sticky (not crumbly) so add water if needed to get this.
Scoop out golf ball-sized pieces and hand roll them into balls. Put them on a non-stick surface (like a baking sheet) and set them in the fridge overnight (or at least an hour).

Rather than giving you a recipe for one, we’d love to give you some ingredient tips so that you can personalize yours to your health needs.

Here’s an easy recipe to follow. You’ll need:
- 1 cup organic tart cherry juice concentrate, no sugar or preservatives added
- 2 tablespoons of gelatin
- 2 tablespoons of raw honey
- CBD oil
- 1 teaspoon Vitamin C powder (optional for a health-boost)
Put the cherry juice in a saucepan on low heat. You want to simmer it lightly, then whisk in the gelatin and honey.
Turn off the heat and whisk in your CBD. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold.
Leave the mold on an even surface in the refrigerator or freezer for one hour.
Remove from the mold, store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator, and take 1 before bed.
