While compiling the 2019 Italian Restaurant Guide, Gambero Rosso gave Santa Elisabetta a prestigious score of 80 out of 100. While in 2018, the restaurant had been awarded a ‘Chef’s Hat’ recognition in the Gourmet Guide by L’Espresso. The restaurant offers a harmonious mix of historical atmosphere and elaborated culinary arts, offering a dining experience that can’t be found in any other exclusive setting in Florence.

It is housed in the Torre Della Pagliazza, the tower that is thought to be dating back to the Byzantine time and has been used as a women’s prison during the 12th century.
