1. Obesity

It leads to the fluctuation of the hormone leptin which messes with your appetite a lot. Poor sleep will also make you tired and cranky all the time, interfering with your calorie intake and exercise patterns.

It affects the overall cardiovascular health by messing with the levels of cholesterol and blood pressure. It also increases the risk of a stroke as lack of sleep significantly contributes to hypertension.
3. Type 2 Diabetes

It can induce the conditions in the body that can lead to diabetes in a healthy individual and also worsen the conditions in an already diabetic person. Sleeping less than for four hours or so caused some serious insulin fluctuations.
4. Depression and Anxiety
The cycle of depression and insomnia is a vicious one. Sleep deprivation causes irritability, frustration and lack of concentration. Sleeping patterns are also known to affect serotonin levels. This will affect mental health strongly and reportedly caused depression and anxiety in a lot of people.

How To Have A Healthy Sleep Schedule

Discipline is the key. Follow strict rules about timings of meals and sleep. Try supplements like melatonin and CBD if you’re having a hard time falling asleep or calming your mind. Yoga can also help you with developing healthy sleeping patterns. Turn all your electronics off an hour before you go to bed. Limit your caffeine and alcohol intake to have an undisturbed 8-hour sleep. If the problem still persist, you should visit a doctor and check for any underlying conditions like chronic nightmares and sleep apnea.
