Like all do-it-yourselfers, I enjoy refurbishing anything that I can find around the house. It is economical, convenient, cheap, easy, and gives me satisfaction. I found this wooden hook at my Mom’s house that she was planning on getting rid. In my eyes, I saw this as an easy fix involving my favorite go-to product: spray paint! I sanded the wooden rack and went to the garage to spray paint it white. It took about 5 coats, and I made sure every cranny got covered. I let this dry a good 24 hours and the end result was fabulous: a new hanging rack! I found the perfect place to hang this, a bare wall I have by my pantry closet. I had been eyeing this space thinking of ways to fill it, and knew this was the perfect place to hang it. It is now used daily as my purse holder, coat hanger, and scarf filler!
Supplies: White Spray Paint, Sandpaper, Old Wooden Hanging Rack.
(Not Shown) Sandpaper the rack, and wipe with a dry paper towel.
Go to a well ventilated area (garage) and spray paint the wooden rack.
Spray numerous coats, making sure to cover every inch of wood.
Allow enough drying time. I gave mine a good 24 hours.
Once dry, hang up!
This now saves me so much counter space.
The space is big enough for back packs and more!
I even hang decorations above the rack, using all available space!
