My city has an art event every fall which has been going on for the past couple of years. It is free for the artists to sign up and enter their artwork. This can range from drawings, painting, photography, etc. It goes on for about three weeks and the public votes for their favorite piece of art. The winner and runner ups take home a cash prize. I went this year and was blown away. There was so much to look at and not enough time. We went for about three hours one afternoon and barely got to see a portion of all the artwork. It is such a great and fun community event. These are some pictures I took of all the artistic and genius displays we saw. One of my favorites was the “Lights In The Night,” at the bottom of my page. The artist handed out Chinese lanterns to any person who wanted to participate in the event. There were a total of 15,000 lanterns that were launched at the same time at night downtown. The pictures are breathtaking and beautiful.
