All women take care of their looks and constantly try to find ways to preserve healthy and youthful skin, stay in shape, and make every head turn even when they enter into later stages of life. A healthy diet, lots of exercise, and dressing sharp are the pillars of looking stunning at all times. Here are some tricks of the trade for the ever-lasting gorgeousness.
What to munch
Healthy eating habits are necessary for both inner and outer glow, as our skin reflects everything we take into our body. Fruits and veggies are essential sources of healthy nutrients. Tomatoes are rich in vitamins A, C, and E and contain lycopene, which protects your skin from harmful UV rays and helps you combat aging. Broccoli has high levels of chromium which stabilizes your blood sugar levels. Plums, grapes, and berries contain sorbitol, a substance that enables your skin to absorb water more easily and stay moisturized. Eating oily fish has many benefits, one of them being the intake of omega-3 oils which hydrate your skin from the inside and help keep your skin wrinkle-free. Instead of milk chocolate, opt for its dark alternative, as it contains more antioxidants than any other food, which is important for skin protection. A cup of green tea with lemon in the morning acts as a true energy bomb much healthier than coffee and it also slows down the aging process. However, when it comes to healthy skin, nothing beats water! Drink as much water as possible to keep your skin hydrated and shiny.
Youthful skin glow
Regular cleansing of your skin is essential if you want a healthy and well-protected skin. Also, apply day and night moisturizers to help your skin stay hydrated and retain moisture. A quality sunscreen, with an SPF of 15 or higher, is a must. Exfoliating once a week removes dead cells and makes the skin on your face look youthful and glowy. This goes for body skin as well and body scrubs are highly recommendable for maintaining a fresh look. Additionally, use a quality hand cream to fight dryness or dull skin look on your hands. If you have a problem with chapped lips, Vaseline is the best cure, and you can even use it to remove makeup.
Wash your hair in tepid water to prevent dryness and breakage. Also, regular conditioning prevents frizzy effect and helps your hair retain moisture. If you have dry and thin hair, use products with oil and milk bases. Hair vitamins are also effective in stimulating hair growth and making hair thick and shiny. If you have a greasy scalp and dry ends, use shampoos with nettle and mint to reduce grease and treat your ends with natural oils, like almond and coconut. Moreover, keep your hairstyle new and fresh with a variety of looks, like wearing a side part, a messy bun, or a ponytail.
Maintaining a healthy body is a prerequisite for youthful looks. Exercise twice a week or more if you have time. Even a simple physical activity like walking produces great results if done regularly. If you’re up for a challenge, you can take up kickboxing or budokon. Yoga lessons will enable you to stay in shape while improving your concentration and helping you relax.
When dressing sharp, the golden rule “less is more” applies. Emphasize your plain outfit with a pop of color, like a bold-colored top to look spot on, or accentuate the look with an interesting accessory, like necklace or earrings. Choose your wardrobe staples for all occasions, like a good pair of jeans and a white tee for casual walks, an LBD and high heels for formal events, a navy-striped dress and wedges for summer, and a fitted coat and ankle boots for chilly days.
Looking good doesn’t have to be hard. Regardless of your age or circumstances, just follow these simple tips and you’ll both look and feel incredible.
