About the Institute
An educational institute aimed at promoting sports fitness in the country, the Indian Institute of Sports Medicine is founded by Dr. Kannan Pugazhendi to reform the health and fitness world. IISM is a non-profit organization which emerges from the parent organization of SPARRC institute. Spread across 14 locations in India, SPARRC is a full-fledged pioneering sports institute of the country.
It provides sports medicine support and sports specific training for international, national sports performers and translates sports medicine principles for the general population towards holistic wellness.

Centre for Sports and Science is founded by Prof. S. Arumugam, who is a specialist in medicine and surgery with American Board Diplomate in internal medicine. Prof. Arumugam also holds M.S degree in Orthopaedics along with an Honorary FRCS award from the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow.
At the Sports Medicine division of Centre for Sports Science, there are athletes from all levels – from recreational to professional. The following facilities are offered:
