I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to announce that I am a Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) Back-to-School Ambassador! I recently became a part of this campaign and am excited about it. The Boys & Girls Club of America is an organization that supports our youth of today. For 100 years this program has been going strong by helping kids in school. They are provided with mentors, school supplies, after school programs and even clothes.

I am an avid believer in the youth of today and one of my favorite stores, JC Penney, is partnering up with BGCA. In the month of July, if you round-up your purchase to the nearest whole dollar while shopping at JC Penney, you can help make a difference in supporting after-school programs at Boys & Girls Clubs in your community and across the country. Even better, of the total amount of money that is rounded up, 100% of that goes to BGCA. This is a cause where your donation is 100% going to the kids!

This is the perfect opportunity. If you are back to school shopping at JC Penney and are asked to round up to the nearest dollar, do it! How encouraging it is to help another child in need while you are there shopping for your own child or even for yourself?! I love how easy this is.

If my total is $76.89 and I am asked to round up to $77.00: of course I will be taking the opportunity to help out BGCA! How easy is that: an extra $0.11 that goes towards a child in need. Maybe I just helped them receive new shoes for their feet or provided them their first set of crayons? There is no paperwork to sign and the even number will look much better on the bank statement.

Please take the extra second to say “sure, OK, of course, I’d love to,” when asked to round up your purchase at JC Penney. This does not have to be only applied back to school shopping either. For any reason you are at JC Penney, (for me, it will be some retail therapy) make sure you help out the generous organization of the Boys & Girls Club of America and be a giver to our youth that is in need!
