10 Fun and Easy Games to Play during Baby Showers

Congratulations, you’re going to be a parent soon! Or at least your friend is. Baby showers celebrate the coming of a new life, which is an incredibly joyous, awe-inspiring event. It’s only right to celebrate it with smiles and laughter, along with your closest people.

Playing games is a great way to add fun and excitement to the party. If you’re throwing a baby shower soon, here’s a list of some of the most entertaining games you can play to make the event more merry and memorable.

Baby Shower Bingo

Bingo is a popular game that’s played with a big- or medium-size group. It’s a versatile and fun game that can add a dash of competition and anticipation to liven up the party. For the baby-shower bingo, you can replace the numbers in the card with baby-related items and prepare a small prize to reward the winner.

Materials to Use

Bingo cards

Chalks

List of bingo items or drawing cards

Box or jar

How to Play

  1. Prepare baby-shower bingo cards. You can find bingo card templates online or create your own. Instead of numbers, the squares in the card will have different baby-related items in it—clothing, toys, baby toiletries.
  2. Make a master list of all the words written in the bingo cards. Write them in small sticky notes, roll them, and place them inside a jar or box. You can also use drawing cards with labels for this.
  3. Give each guest one or two bingo cards.
  4. Draw a paper or drawing card for the jar or box. Read the name aloud, and show the drawing to the guests. Give them time to look for the item in their bingo card.
  5. The guest who first completes/marks off a full row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) and yells “Bingo!” wins a prize. You can play this game for several rounds.
  6. Alternatively, the winner can be whoever is the first to completely mark off all words on their bingo card and yells “Bingo!”
