Even though a lot of people explore and enjoy vegan dishes, non-veg dishes and snacks are always very popular for being extremely tasty, and rich in protein and other essential nutrients. When prepared with the correct amount of spices, these easy Indian dinner recipes perfectly satisfy your culinary buds and make your monotonous cuisine routines exciting.

  1. Chilli chicken – You might have tried out plenty of easy egg recipes. How about chilli chicken? You might think that an easy chilli chicken recipe is a myth. It is time to bust that myth; let’s get started. 

First, marinate chicken breasts in a  teaspoon of salt, 1/2 tsp of pepper, 3/4 cup of flour, a beaten egg, 1 sliced red pepper, and 1 sliced green pepper. 

For sauce preparation, you would need 3 tsp of soy sauce, a red chilli, 3 crushed garlic cloves, 2 tsp tomato puree and half a cup of water.

Cut the chicken in thin strips and coat in the mixture prepared from egg wash and flour. Then it should be fried until golden brown, add pepper and fry again. This needs to be set aside. 

The next step is to make a paste of red chilli, garlic, tomato puree, soy sauce, water to be added in the same pan to mix all ingredients well. Stir and simmer until the mixture is reduced to a thick and syrupy substance. Add the chicken and peppers in this mixture and stir well.

  1. Butter chicken – Are you looking for an easy butter chicken recipe? Here it is. You need – a tablespoon each of oil, butter and garam masala, a teaspoon each of finely grated or minced fresh ginger, salt, fenugreek seeds, chilli powder and cumin, a medium-sized diced onion, about a kg of skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks, a can of tomato paste, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 2-3 finely crushed garlic cloves and a cup of heavy cream.

A  skillet needs to be heated over medium to high heat. Add butter and oil followed by onions, cook until they become slightly golden. Then add garlic-ginger paste and cook for half a minute more. The chicken paste, spices, and tomato need to be added and cooked for 5-6 minutes. Now add the heavy cream and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes with some occasional stirring till all the spices cook together and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot. 

  1. Chicken Biryani – If you are looking to fuel up your culinary desires and honour your taste buds, this easy chicken biryani recipe can be a brilliant idea. This is amongst one of those quick chicken recipes that can be your quick-go-to dish. 

Ingredients – a tablespoon each of ghee and minced garlic, a teaspoon each of turmeric and cumin, a kg of boneless chicken breast in small pieces, 2 tablespoons of garam masala, a medium-sized chopped onion, a minced jalapeno pepper, 3 tablespoons of ginger paste, two large chopped tomatoes, half a cup of raisins, a cup of basmati rice, two and a half cup of chicken broth, 1/4 cup of fresh and chopped cilantro leaves, a lime cut into wedges, salted or unsalted almonds and salt to taste

Heat oil needs on medium to high heat in a skillet. When the oil starts to shimmer, add chicken pieces, and cook them until they turn golden brown. Add onion, ginger, jalapeno, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, and salt and sauté for 3 minutes until the onions soften. Next, add some tomatoes, garlic and raisins to the pan. The rice and broth can be added then. When the mixture starts to boil, cover the pan and cook it on a low-medium flame for 15 minutes. After that, you can fluff the rice with a fork and allow it to steam for another 10 minutes. Use almond slices, lime wedges, and cilantro leaves for garnishing.
