Vittoriosa Waterfront

Vittoriosa or as known in Malta, Birgu is part of the three cities and Birgu being the city touching with the Mediterranean water boasts of some wonderful views.

The best of the bunch is the Vittoriosa Waterfront. It’s one of the two waterfront’s in Malta after the Valletta one, which is popular with locals and tourists alike too.

Grand Harbour

The grand harbour speaking by itself is the Maltese hub for incoming and outgoing ships for cruises.

Golden Bay is just one of the three bays available in that area with Gnejna and Ghajn Tuffieha an interesting proposition to tourists or locals alike.

Marfa Ridge

The Marfa Ridge is available and accessible for tourists as it starts from the bus terminal and takes you to the gate where you can see the Ghadira Natural Reserve.

After that, you can go to the famous Torri L-Ahmar, which is reachable from the top of the Marfa ridge and you can take beautiful photos from the very top of Mellieha.

During your walk you can explore the breathtaking views through the many farms, wooded areas and high cliffs.

Wied Iz-Zurrieq

The automatic choice for tourists. Take the bus from Valletta and stop in the Zurrieq Venda then walk down to Wied Iz-Zurrieq and then visit Hagar Qim.

On your way down you can enjoy a fresh breath air while going for a swim in the famed Blue Grotto where you can take a boat too.

What about Hagar Qim though? It’s the Neolithic temple which is a national emblem and stuns people every day that come in.

In this walk you get to go to a place to swim, you get to see a stunning temple and finally feel revived.
