*Peppermint Wreath*

peppermint wreath

I finally got around to making a Christmas craft! This has been on my to-do list for a long while and I had the opportunity today. I wanted to make the starlight peppermint wreath. This total project cost me about $12 dollars. I bought the peppermint and ribbon at The Dollar Tree. I purchased the 12 inch diameter foam wreath at Michael's and the red hot candies at my local grocery store. About a good hour this took to make and it is worth it. I love the outcome and it gives a different look to the traditional Christmas wreath. The hardest and most tedious part would be unwrapping the peppermint candies, that took awhile! I had no pattern to the placing of my peppermints. I tried to align them as well as I could. I ended up not using the red hot candies. The placement between the spaces of the peppermints was not even, so the red hots would have looked goofy. I am going to try and seal this and hopefully it will keep until next year. If not, then I will be making another one!

After all the peppermints are glued on! I went through almost all 3 bags of peppermints

I decided against using the red hot candies, it would not have been even spacing between the peppermint candies

The end result turned out great
