Patriotic Puffs

The 4th of July may be over, but everyone is still celebrating! Fireworks are still going off in the neighborhoods and this is the last day of the Holiday weekend. For one last hurrah, I am sharing a recipe I made for the 4th.

Patriotic Puffs. This is more of a very addicting dessert / snack to munch on. We brought them with us while waiting for the fireworks to start and everyone was munching on them. They are hulless popcorn puffs mixed with white chocolate chips! Food coloring is added to make them themed. These are great to make for any Holiday because you can add the right color of food coloring to match the occasion.

This is a no-bake recipe (my favorite) and takes very little time to make. If there are leftovers, store in a sealed rubber-maid and they last for days and days!

This is always a huge hit and I love how the red, white and blue food coloring adds that extra perfect touch which looks like the American Flag!

Ingredients: 1 bag of white chocolate morsels, red & blue food coloring and 1 bag of hulless popcorn butter puffs.

Melt the white chocolate chips according to the package. Remember to stir after each time you microwave.

Add the food coloring to the white chocolate. Mix well to get your desired color. I used separate bowls for the red & blue colors.

Then pour the colored mixture over the puffs and mix well.

I used my hands to do this.

Once thoroughly mixed, lay out on parchment paper to dry.

Mine were dry in about a half hour.

Once dry, place in bowl and serve!

I love how they look like the American Flag!
