Over the summer I had an opportunity to read and review a book called The Eye Dancers. This is an adventure / sci-fi / fantasy book that targets the ages for teen or young adult. What IĀ lovedĀ about this book, is that is not just for kids. I was interested throughout each Chapter and found myself reading every night. I would recommended this book to anyone who wants their mind to wander and wonder. The World is a mysterious place and we are so small. The Eye Dancers has you asking a lot of different questions. Mine was, “Are we really not alone”?Ā

Grab this good read which is available for e-book online. This is a great book to read together with your child. It will keep you asking questions, wondering about our World and have you on the edge of your seat!Ā

Intro to Author:

Ā The author is Michael S. Fedison. Michael has been writing creatively for as long as he can remember, and has been interested in imaginative stories his entire life. He works as a full-time technical writer and also is a freelance proofreaderĀ and copy editor.

The Eye Dancers is a great reflection of Michaelā€™s creative imagination.

Overview:

Seventh-grader Mitchell Brant has nightmares where he sees a ā€œghost girl.ā€ She haunts him in his sleep and he does not know why. Mitchell finds out three of his close friends are also having the same nightmares with the ghost girl. During one of their nightmares, while they were all having a sleepover, the boys are transported and inexplicably wake up into another universe. Confronted with unexpected and life-threatening dangers, they set out to discover what happened, where they are, and how to get back home. The answers can be found only in the mysterious ghost girl with the blue, hypnotic eyes. She is their only hope. And time is running out.

Review:

I enjoyed myself while reading this book. At times, I could not stop flipping the pages, because I had to see what happens next. The four main characters; Mitchell, Ryan, Joe and Mark, areĀ averageĀ teenagers. Each one has their own personal issue to overcome at home, which gets solved as they go through this experience. Ā I fell in love with the main character, Mitchell and found him to truly discover himself in this adventure. He matured and without this experience, I do not think he would have grown up. This journey forces the four friends to use their inner strength, to work together and find the ā€˜ghost girlā€™ who is haunting their dreams.

Overall, I see this as a book for young adults and even a read for grown ups. It has adventure, mystery, suspense and thrill which fit into the sci-fi / fantasy category. The Eye Dancers brings you into a state of reality you can relate to, but has you wondering the ā€œwhat-ifsā€ we always ask ourselves. Like the Twilight Zone, this read will have you guessing what is to come next and who is really out there? The Eye Dancers is a coming of age story for four friends who all have different purposes. I would recommended this book to anyone looking for an easy read and an out of this world adventure!
